Tasmania has a long history of cultivating superior quality Lavandula angustifolia, using plant selections that were first brought to Tasmania from the French Alps of Provence in the early 1900s.
Over the years, EOT has worked closely with the University of Tasmania to complete a rigorous selection program to produce and establish Tasmanian Lavender, a plant with an exceptionally fine fragrance, which is now recognised as its own distinctive sub-species.
Message in a Bottle - A hint of Bondi, a trace of Tassie … Essential Oils of Tasmania (EOT) is pleased to be featured in the April 2022 Good Weekend Magazine (Sydney Morning Herald & The Age) article about local perfumers harnessing the unique scents of Australian Natives and challenging the general norms of the fine fragrance industry.
Essential Oils of Tasmania (EOT) was honoured with the 2019 Tasmanian Exporter of the Year Award. A first-time applicant in these Awards, it first won the Agribusiness, Food and Beverages category and then took out the overall honours from an exceptionally strong field of candidates.
The Tasmanian Export Awards are the state’s highest recognition of excellence for companies exporting goods and services. An increased number of entries were received this year, with 49 entries received across 12 categories.
